Participants submitted a record number of entries to the Department of Internal Medicine's Research Day 2020 awards (108 abstracts accepted and 98 virtual posters). We are excited to say that CTSI's BERD team assistance was well-represented in the list of those chosen for either first or second place research category awards.
The BERD team assisted the following four award recipients in their winning research endeavors:
Fellow - Clinical Research
- 1st Place: Dr. Matthew Singleton, “Multi-biomarker prediction of stroke among those with atrial fibrillation: the reasons for geographic and racial differences in stroke study”
- 2nd Place: Dr. Braghadheeswar Thyagarajan, “Renal outcomes in adult critically ill patients treated with veno-venous versus veno-arterial ECMO”
