Office of Sponsored Programs

Mission

Support and advance our research community through partnerships and education while ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance.

Vision

To be a national leader in Research Administration, using innovative approaches to support the success and growth of the research mission.

Responsibilities

The Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP) has responsibility for sponsored programs activities for all sponsored research at Wake Forest University Health Sciences across the entire life-cycle of the award. These responsibilities are broadly broken down into four main categories: pre-award, post-award, industry contracting, and reporting. OSP is also responsible for the development and communication of institution-wide policies specific to sponsored programs.

OSP provides support and guidance to faculty and administrators by facilitating proposal submission; reviewing, negotiating and accepting contracts; managing awards; ensuring compliance with institutional, agency and sponsor policies, as well as performing accounting activities such as financial account set up, institutional reporting, financial close-outs and assisting with audit inquiries.

OSP has assigned to each department a primary pre-award, postaward and contracts contact. For more information on the point of contact for your department, please see the Contact OSP page.
