Luisa Maria Paredes Acosta, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine in General Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, has been selected as a 2026–2029 Leadership Fellow for the Wake Forest Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Community Stakeholder and Engagement Program.
This leadership appointment is designed to support emerging leaders in strengthening their capacity for community-engaged research and advancing meaningful partnerships between researchers and the communities they serve. Through this program, Dr. Paredes Acosta will further develop her leadership in stakeholder engagement while contributing to efforts that promote research that is responsive, inclusive, and impactful.
