On behalf of the Research Compliance & Integrity, Security, and Regulatory Affairs Offices, the Office of Sponsored Programs announces the following Research Administration Network updates.
Recent federal regulations related to Research Security Training (RST), Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs (MFTRP), and updates to Conflict of Interest (COI) questions have resulted in several changes, noted below:
- The new Senior Key Personnel – Certifications Form (formerly the Conflict of Interest – CO form) includes additional questions related to RST, MFTRP, and COI.Please begin using the Senior Key Personnel – Certifications Form for all proposal submissions moving forward. Previous versions of the COI form, including the COI email version, will no longer be accepted.
- The Research Security Policy – Enterprise provides expanded guidance and explanation regarding RST and MFTRP requirements.
- Effective January 1, 2026, Huron Research Suites will be updated to include and capture responses to the new COI certification questions.
- New Signature Requirements – To ensure auditable documentation, the following signature formats are acceptable:
- Wet ink signature with date
- Digitally signed and dated using Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, or eBinder (If software installation is needed, please contact IT.)
- Additional Resources –Further information is available in the November 13, 2025 Bi-monthly RA Session
- Additional Updated Forms – The following forms have also been updated and should be utilized for proposal submissions moving forward. Previous versions of these forms will no longer be accepted:
