Wake Forest University School of Medicine officially welcomed the Class of 2026 into its alumni network during Commencement ceremonies held May 15-17 at Wake Chapel. The weekend celebrated the transition of graduates into their roles as the next generation of healthcare leaders, scientists and physicians.
The ceremonies began by honoring PA Studies candidates, marking a historic milestone with the graduation of the school’s inaugural cohort of Doctors of Medical Science (DMSc) alongside Master of Medical Science (MMS) graduates. The Biomedical Graduate Programs recognized graduates whose research and discoveries have laid the groundwork for future medical breakthroughs, as they transition from students to professional colleagues in the global research community.
The ceremonies concluded as Doctor of Medicine graduates received their hoods and recited their professional oath, marking the formal start of their medical careers. These achievements are a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff who guided and mentored these graduates throughout their training journeys.
