The Duke Endowment is accepting concept proposals for the June 15, 2026 cycle of The Duke Endowment (TDE) funding. Interested applicants should refer to the summary information within the RFA and submit concept proposals electronically to the application system by Friday, March 20th at 11:59 PM ET.
Concept proposals will be reviewed by the Dean’s Intramural Research Support Committee (IRSC) with the top three concept proposals submitted to TDE in April.
Guidelines:
- The Duke Endowment does not fund 100% of the project costs. Applicants may request approval for up to 20% cost-share internally through established WFUHS policies and procedures before submitting a concept proposal.
- The Duke Endowment excludes F&A. Instead, the applicable F&A Rate can be used as an “In-Kind” contribution and included when calculating the overall estimated project cost in the concept proposal.
- All projects will have a January 1, 2027 start date and be 24 or 36 months in length
- Basic research projects are ineligible.
- Sustainability is a key component and a strong plan to sustain and grow the project (if applicable) should be established.
