January 14, 2026

We are excited to invite you to the upcoming DIVE-In presentation on February 4th at 12:00 PM EST. This session will feature Edwina McNeill-Simaan, EdD, MSHS, CCRC, CCRP, Director of Operations and Program Director for the Science, Technology, and Research Partnership (STAR) Clinical Research Network (CRN) at the Vanderbilt Institute for Medicine and Public Health. What is STAR CRN?

The STAR CRN is a dynamic collaboration among academic medical centers, community hospitals, and outpatient facilities. With data representing more than 25 million patients, STAR offers a diverse and comprehensive resource for advancing clinical research. The network supports comparative effectiveness studies, pragmatic clinical trials, health system innovation, and other research initiatives aimed at improving patient care.

STAR CRN and PCORnet®

STAR is one of eight networks within PCORnet®, the National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network—a nationwide research ecosystem that integrates rich health data, research expertise, and patient perspectives. This infrastructure enables rapid, reliable answers to critical health questions and opens doors to PCORI funding opportunities, particularly for large-scale studies.

Advocate Health’s Role

Advocate Health currently participates in the STAR CRN through its Southeast divisions, contributing to impactful research efforts. In 2026, the Midwest division will join STAR CRN, further expanding the network’s reach and collaborative potential.

Why Attend?

This presentation is a must for clinicians, researchers, and staff interested in leveraging large-scale data or clinical research collaborations to improve health outcomes.
