Bringing Together CAIR and TrEVR for the Future of Vision Research

We are excited to announce a special collaborative event—the launch of a Joint Pilot Program between the Wake Forest Center for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR) and the Wake Forest Translational Eye and Vision Research Center (TrEVR).

Join us on Thursday, August 28, from 1–4 p.m. EDT at Wake Forest Biotech Place, Auditorium 151 (575 Patterson Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Please note that remote attendance is not available for this event.

Event Highlights

  • Keynote Address: Dr. Sina Farsiu, Anderson-Rupp Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and Professor of Ophthalmology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Computer Science at Duke University, will present “Advances and Humbling Lessons Learned in Developing Artificial Intelligence Technologies for Ophthalmology and Neuroscience.”
  • Flash Talks: Hear from leading CAIR and TrEVR researchers about the latest breakthroughs.
  • Networking Sessions: Engage in breakout discussions and enjoy a catered lunch with peers and experts in the field.
  • Pilot Program Launch: Learn about a new $50,000 joint grant opportunity supporting innovative research at the intersection of AI and vision science.
