Dr. François Modave, PhD

Professor, Department of Pediatrics (Primary)

Department of Implementation Science

Center for Remote Health Monitoring

Wake Forest University School of Medicine

 

Dr. Modave joins Wake Forest University School of Medicine as Full Professor with a primary appointment in Pediatrics and a secondary appointment in Implementation Science. He is also a member of the Center of Remote Health Monitoring, the Center for AI Research, and the Center for Healthcare Innovation.

Prior to joining Wake Forest, Dr. Modave was a Professor with tenure in the Department of Anesthesiology, where he also acted as Associate Chair for Research, and Assistant Dean for the Quality and Patient Safety initiative in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida.

Dr. Modave holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toulouse III – Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, in France. His research focuses on the development, testing, and use of digital health technology and artificial intelligence to improve clinical outcomes and reduce health inequities. His work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, The National Institutes
