The Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center (AHWFBCCC) and the American Cancer Society Internal Research Grant (ACS-IRG) are soliciting applications fromjunior faculty members (within 6 years of first faculty appointment) for pilot funding that will produce preliminary results and enable junior faculty to successfully compete for national cancer-relevant funding. Prior experience in cancer research is not essential and non-AHWFBCCC members are eligible to apply.
Studies in all areas of cancer research - laboratory, clinical, prevention and control, and psychosocial cancer research - will be considered for funding. Proposal budgets may be up to $50,000. Applications will be reviewed by the ACS-IRG Review Committee and up to four meritorious applications will be selected.
Applications should be submitted via the CCC 2024 Funding Opportunities Redcap. The application deadline is Friday, November 15, 2024, at 5:00pm EST.
