Join us on October 14 to explore How Academic Health Systems Deepen Their Implementation of LHS

October 14, 2023

Wake Forest University School of Medicine, the academic core of Atrium Health, is hosting a virtual conference which will bring together thought leaders from academic health centers that have adopted the LHS concept and expanded their approach to clinical care, research and education, to reflect the principles and practices of LHS. This event will inform a national conference in October 2023 hosted by the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

The October 14 virtual conference will be 3 hours and will include a mix of sessions. An overview presentation (with Q&A) will set the context by briefly describing the origins and adoption of the LHS concept by different types of health systems. A panel discussion will provide an insider view of how the LHS concept has been implemented in 4 academic medical centers (AMCs), the challenges that have arisen, enabling conditions, etc. Conference participants will then have the choice of: a) joining a break-out session where they can discuss their own organization’s experience with the adoption and implementation of LHS, or b) hearing presentations of innovative LHS approaches at various AMCs. The last session of the conference will be a discussion of key takeaways from the day and issues to incorporate into the October 2023 in-person conference.
