Please join the Implementation Science Affinity Group on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Miriam Bender, PhD, RN, FAAN, Associate Professor, Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, University of California, Irvine, will be presenting“Elucidating Complex Implementation Dynamics to Support Learning Health Systems.”
Current literature makes clear that the focus of implementation science – implementing interventions into health settings – involves nonlinear, complex phenomena. Assuming dynamic complexity becomes critical to advancing learning health systems. This presentation will describe research programs that advance novel approaches towards capturing the dynamic complexity that underlies implementation and prioritizes analytic generalizability over statistical generalizability, which provides implementation science a robustly transferable form of study validity that has the potential to produce implementation "repertoires" that we can use to support learning health systems.
The event will be a hybrid format with options to attend in person or virtually. The talk will be given in CR3149 at 525@Vine with Webex information found below. Please RSVPif you plan to attend in person so we can have accurate numbers for catering. Lunch will be provided to those attending in person. We hope to see you there!
