The CTSI provides particular programs designed exclusively for early-career faculty (e.g. KL2, Scholar Academy, K Writers Series) and offers certain services to early-career faculty at no-cost (e.g. CRU, Study Coordinator Pool, BERD).
Effective as of January 11, 2016, the following three categories of individuals will be eligible for CTSI early-career services. The Principal Investigator (PI) or the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) of the study must meet one of the criteria to be designated as Early-Career:
- Faculty with a rank of Assistant Professor or lower who have never been the PI or Co-PI of an extramural research award exceeding $100,000 in direct costs per year
- Individuals currently supported by a career development award (e.g. K23, K08)
- Active CTSI Scholar Academy Members
