An application for building and managing online surveys and databases.

REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. While REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data, it is specifically geared to support online data capture for research studies and operations. REDCap enables rapid project development and provides users with advanced functionality, complete autonomy and control of a project, and direct exports to common statistical packages. REDCap surveys and databases are HIPAA compliant and include audit trails.

Currently, the REDCap Support Team is working diligently on consolidating all installations within the enterprise. Until the process is complete, please use the following links to access REDCap.

  • Wake Forest University School of Medicine - External
    This is the main REDCap installation for the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

  • Wake Forest Comprehensive Cancer Center
    The Comprehensive Cancer Center maintains its own REDCap installation for oncology specific research projects.

  • Atrium Health
    This is the main installation for the Atrium Health organization.

  • Advocate Health
    The main installation for Advocate Health is limited to the internal Advocate network. You can access this REDCap installation if you are on a VPN or directly through the organization network.

  • Wake Forest - Internal
    This is an older more restricted version of REDCap for Wake Forest. It’s in the process of being sunsetted. New projects should be spun up in the Wake Forest (External) REDCap installation.

Services

All services available can be requested through the CTSI Service Request Form or through submitting a LiftCap Request and are outlined below:

  • Project Build

    As a fee-for-service, a CTSI REDCap Administrator is available to create a project database or survey and move it into production mode. Please refer to the CTSI Hourly Services Pricing Grid.

  • General Consultation

    A REDCap Administrator will meet to discuss your specific project needs and provide guidance on how to set up the project appropriately or whether REDCap is the right tool for your needs.

  • Training

    Wake Forest School of Medicine is offering a series of training courses for a variety of REDCap users. Access our training offerings here: REDCap Training

  • Support

    The REDCap support team asks that all inquires, questions and consultation requests be requested through the LiftCap intake form. If the LiftCap tool is unavailable, please contact the REDCap support team at CTSIredcap@wakehealth.edu.
