The Office of Sponsored Programs is pleased to announce the immediate release of the Huron ECC system for Effort certifications beginning January 17th, 2022. Research faculty and support staff have previously been involved with the effort reporting process in some capacity in the past through PeopleSoft, and use of Huron ECC replaces that. We are excited to bring this modernized and user-friendly solution to the research community to support federal requirements of semi-annual effort certifications for our organization.
Through this process, we have worked to standardize the effort certification process by appointing Research Departmental Business Admins/Leaders to a Coordinator role. Coordinators will be required to complete a pre-review certification of faculty and staff effort within their departments, prior to individual Certifiers semi-annual certification of effort.
The upcoming semi-annual cycle is as follows:
- January 17th- January 30th - Effort Coordinator Pre-Review Cycle
- January 31st - March 4th - Effort Certifier Cycle
Training guides and documentation will be posted to the OSP website prior to January 11th, 2022, at the following link, under the ECC Heading. OSP SharePoint Site: ECC Training Guides
