The Resources and Services Program provides core support to activities that address translational roadblocks in clinical and translational science (CTS) research while providing high value to investigators and ensure compliance with federal regulations and NIH policies. The objectives are to:
- Promote, prioritize, and assure broad access to core resources and services, providing focused opportunities to those new to the research environment.
- Expand core resources and services that address the five stages of clinical and translational science research, including planning, conduct, analyses, implementation, and dissemination, with particular emphasis on resources and services that focus on the unique needs of an aLHS.
- Market, manage, and evaluate all resources and services to maximize their impact across the system.
- Pre- and post-award consultations on study design, statistical methodologies, sample size estimation, analysis, and interpretation.
- Convene multi-disciplinary expert panels to review and critique grant applications (90-min session).
- Networking Studios bring together individuals from different disciplines (T0-T4) to build collaborative networks.
- Teams compete for $5,000 and support from scientific experts. Project must propose a new tool or approach to improve clinical care.
- Facilitation of IND/IDE applications and iDSMB.
- Support to clinicaltrials.gov documentation and clinical trial monitoring services.
- Trained study staff available on hourly basis to support all phases of studies from regulatory to patient visits.
- Provides facilities and resources to promote rigorous, safe, reproducible, and efficient research.
-
Supports queries of EHR data for cohort identification and subsequent extraction of EHR warehouse data for approved research projects.
-
Consultation on study recruitment approaches, with specialized focus on underrepresented populations.
-
