The Fragility of Statistically Significant Results: An Extension of Fragility Index to Continuous Variables

The aim of this project was to create a framework by which we could expand Walsh and colleagues' original fragility concept to continuous variables. We then preliminarily applied this framework to the orthopaedic sports medicine literature by comparing our continuous fragility score to prior applications of the original dichotomous fragility index.

  • What inspires you to do research?
I think research is the natural continuation of learning. Research not only allows you to collaborate and discover but also forces you to take a much more nuanced and critical look at what you already believe to be true.
  • Where do you hope to do your residency and why?
I am currently undecided on the field or institution I strive to go on to next, but I am excited to continue exploring new topics and finding out more about the many amazing fields of medicine.
  • Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I like to play basketball, make wine, and read during my free time.
